Jesus is concerned for us. He knows that we live in troubling times. Just this week a young person with their life ahead of them shared with me that their hope for the future is being drained away by the relentless onslaught of one troubling event after another. This is the voice of despair. Despair is real. It is soul-sapping. It is heart-breaking. Jesus does not want our hearts to be troubled (John 14:1). So, He has provided us with a look into the future.

Many will dismiss discussions about end-times. Their view being that there is so much disagreement that it is hopeless to try to under stand it. Others will say jokingly that they are pan-millennial reasoning that only God knows the future but they know it will pan out in the end. Others simply do not think about end-times events at all. If you find yourself ignoring or neglecting what the Bible says about end-times may I suggest that you are missing out on the very cure for despair that is so desperately needed.

Today I continue my series on the chronology of the events that will happen in the end-times. I pray that this series restores hope and brings you comfort. May you be educated, edified, and encouraged through this. More than that, may this series equip you to be able to give a reason for the hope that you have (Jude 3).
