In this chapter John’s attention shifts from earth to heaven. From this chapter through chapter 15 John gives us the heavenly perspective on the final bowl judgments which will be poured out in chapter 16. In today’s reading and the one that follows we glimpse the heavenly and supernatural realities behind what is happening on earth.
