Faith, the confidence that God will do what He has promised, is the piston of the engine of our Christian lives. It is true today. It has always been true. In today’s reading we see example after example of men and women who lived in the confident expectation of receiving what God had promised but not yet given. This expectation drove their lives. By their faith they pleased God, took incredible risks, and overcame great obstacles. May the Lord use today’s reading to convict, inspire, and motivate us to drive forward and act on faith.

  1. This is one of my favorite verses Hebrews 11:1. This is the essence of Christianity. Bob did not underline or write in his Bible. But he had this one highlighted. Thank you again for your teaching.
