I love the way today’s reading in Hebrews starts out “Therefore…consider Jesus…” How much more fervent I would be in pursuing Christian maturity I thought more about Jesus. I often find myself setting my mind on things like how team U.S.A. is doing at the Olympics, or whether we are heading into another Covid lockdown, or even on what is happening in Washington D.C. With my mind crowded with thoughts about these things I don’t have room to “…consider Jesus…” My mind is often just too crowded with other things to consider eternity, or all that Christ has done for me, and or all that Christ desires for me.

How about you? Let’s resolve together today to take to heart and act on the opening words of today’s reading. Let’s spend more time considering Jesus.
