The Lord could come for His church at any moment. So Paul urges Timothy to make the most of every opportunity and persevere no matter what. This meant that Timothy was to preach the word and endure suffering.
What about you? What does it mean for you to live today as if the Lord were about to return? Perhaps it is time you shared the gospel with that neighbor who has been on your mind. For some, it might mean turning away from porn and filling your mind with God’s word. Still others may need to put away the remote control, stop channel surfing, and start praying for your pastor and other church leaders. Whatever it may be for you, make the most of the time you have before the coming of the Lord.
